Lana del Rey Hair

Hello everyone! Today's post is going to be about how to achieve Lana del Rey's statement hair. Personally I love her hair, and all the hairstyles she wears are absolutely gorgeous. I've watched several youtube videos and went online to search on how to recreate her look. Unfortunately I didn't get the results I expected from those videos, because they were nowhere similar. However, today I stumbled across two video tutorials that were similar or exactly the same hairstyle Lana del Rey uses. It was a great achievement (lol) to come across these two videos that I had been looking for the longest time. That's why I want to share them with you, because sharing is caring, hahaha. Anyhow, I'll post the pictures of inspiration and the videos with the tutorials now.

These two videos are the most accurate on achieving Lana del Rey's vintage waves/curls. I hope this helped, and if it did, let me know! Have a wonderful day and I'll be blogging later :)

P.S. if you're not having a good day, perhaps this adorable husky will (:

How to : Deal with Cramps

Hello everyone! I hope you're doing fine and ready to read today's post. Today, I'll be addressing another topic that is health related. I'll make it as short as possible with useful information.

Majority of women suffer from cramps (most of the time in the abdomen area) and the pain that is felt here is unbearable at times. It is a truly horrible experience, specially if you've never felt it and it's your first time. Cramps are developed for several reasons, one of them is because of the menstruation cycle. If you're one of the lucky ones who doesn't suffer from cramps, well you're certainly VERY, and I must emphasize on that very, lucky ones. Consequently, each one of us has different ways of dealing with cramps. Some of us like  to:
  • sleep the pain away
  • take pills
  • eat (even though I don't know how that really helps)
  • exercise
  • try to ignore the pain (but how many times does that really work)
  • do nothing (seriously...)
Those are some of the most common ways of dealing with cramps. Following this further, I want to share some of my favorite ways of treating cramps. Note : This works for me all the time, but it may be completely different with you. I'm not saying it will work as well with you as it does with me, but its an alternative to a process that will not work with you.

I'm a person who likes to take precautions and knowing around what time that time of the month will come, it's crucial to  my preparations. Now, I know that some of us might have a weird schedule with our menstrual cycle, so if you're so, the tips I'm about to give you can help you either way.

First Tip

The first thing I take out, when the cramps start kicking in , is my heating pad. Yes I use a heating pad to treat my cramps. The reason why I use this is because the heat that is radiated will help ease those tense muscles in the area. I suggest using it a regular temperature and not to high (at a high temperature, it can burn your skin-not severely but you'll feel burn) Also try to lie down on your bed or wherever you like for at least 10-20 minutes. That's the time I feel the heat pad has finished its job, however you can leave it as long as you want.

The one I use is from the brand Soft Heat. I believe my mother purchased it at Walmart for around $15 to $20. I think it's a great investment and totally worth it.

The one I have looks like that.

My second tip is that I love drinking tea. Tea just makes me feel so warm and good. I feel like it soothes and makes the pain go away.  I believe it's almost the same reason why the heating pad works; it eases my muscles and relieves the tension. I don't know about you but when I have cramps it doesn't only affect my abdomen, it affects my whole physical body. I may not feel the pain in other parts but it's there. So when I drink tea, all is relieved. I like to drink peppermint and green tea.

In conclusion, I hope you find these two tips useful. If they are, please let me know, I'd love to hear from you !Thanks for reading this. I hope you continue to have a wonderful day and if you're not here's a picture of a blushing llama

Maybelline Color Show : Sweet Clementine.

Hello everyone ! This is the second time I post today but that's okay, the faster I get to you guys, the more time you'll have to make your decisions. Today I'll be reviewing the Maybelline Color Show nailpolish in Sweet Clementine. This nail polish is really gorgeous. When I first laid eyes upon it, I fell in love. It looked very warm yet bright to wear especially during those sunny summer days. However I was only right about one, and the saying is right; looks are deceiving. Sweet Clementine is actually a very bright and vibrant color once it is applied. I didn't believe it was so bright! I expected it to be more toned down, since I was looking for a more pastel orange. Albeit, it is still a wonderful color, and can you imagine how fun it must be to do designs on this color? I will so try it and let you guys know.

Now I know you probably want to know where I got it from and how I much I paid. I got it at Walmart for $2.99 ! Such a great deal. I know prices will depend on your area, but in the east coast are of the United States it should be around that same price (for Walmart only). I've visited other stores such as CVS and Rite Aid, and the prices varied. For example in Rite Aid, it was for $3.99, so there's a difference. Just thought I'd let you know that.

The con of this product is that at the first application, it is very streaky, you need at least 2-3 coats to make the color appear. After that, I liked everything about it.

Here are the swatches for Sweet Clementine.

No flash.

With flash.
(reminds me of very sweet oranges, lol)

When I first saw it, I thought it wouldn't be such a vibrant color.

Latest Acquisitions!

Hello everyone! I hope you're all doing great and having a wonderful day. It is my first post so I might as well show you my recent purchases. I don't have the swatches for this products yet but I will soon. I know you guys want to see how a product looks on before you buy it. That is one of the main reasons I created this blog for; because I'm so tired of people reviewing products but they don't show how it looks, and then I'm disappointed on how it turns out to look when I buy it. So hopefully my reviews help you find that product you were looking for.
Anyhow, sorry for deviating from the main topic, here are some of the products I've bought lately. It's not that much but it's something :)
